Hello
again, so I just want to tell you more about myself and what I plan to do with
this blog. First of all I love movies and TV shows, as do most people. I also
like to think that I know a little bit about fashion, so why not talk about it? This was my thought process when I decided
on what to do with my blog. Going back to movies and TV shows I like to watch
just about anything and I am always looking for new things to watch. I love
everything from comedies and horror to dramas. I like a little bit of
everything.
In
Language Arts class yesterday we read and discussed an essay called “The Crying
Game”. It was about how much crying happens in sports. Also this weekend the
Notebook was on TV. So of course in this blog I am going to talk about movies
that will make you cry. First of all
there are always the obvious tear jerkers like “Titanic”, “The Notebook”, and “Marley
and Me”. Speaking of “Marley and Me”, I refuse to watch just because I have a
yellow lab and I am such a cry baby when it comes to movies. So I can’t give
you a very good description of what it is about. Another type of sad movies are
ones that are the last in the series such as the last “Harry Potter” and the
last “Men in Black”. The story is sad and then it is the last one of that
series so it adds to the sadness.
So
here are some descriptions of some of the saddest movies that I have seen. I
think I will start off with the “Notebook” and I will try to do this without
giving away too much information in case you haven’t seen it yet. It starts off
with an old man telling a story to an old woman who is in a nursing home whose
memory fades more and more every day. He tells the story of Allie Hamilton
(Rachel Mcadams) and Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gossling). They meet one night at a
carnival and start to become friends. They spend all summer together and their
friendship turns to romance. The whole
movie is going back and forth between the old man telling the story, about
Allie and Noah. Like I already said, I don’t want to give too much away but if
you haven’t seen this movie make sure to go watch it as soon as you can.
I’m
sure that everyone knows what the “Titanic” is about and if you don’t it’s time
to learn some history. Having said that, a lot of people think “why should I watch
the movie when I know what happens?” I think that it is a great movie because
you get to see how everything happened and you really get to experience what it
must have been like. Even though I have seen the movie multiple times I still
end up balling by the end. I think that it is so sad because it really
happened. I know that movies are never as factual as they should be with things
like this but it is enough to make you understand.
To conclude
this blog I would just like to say that if haven’t seen these movies you should
defiantly check them out. I know that there are a lot of sad movies out there
and I have only scratched the surface. Everyone needs to watch a sad movie
every once in a while. So if there are some good sad movies that you have
recently watched let me know and I will watch them and then blog about them. Thanks
for readingJ
